In partnership with the Museion Bozen-Bolzano, ewo has invited the young Belgian artist Brecht Heytens to this years ewoLAB.
In a one-month artist residency in the former ewo metalworks in Sarntal, Brecht Heytens was working on an installation that deals with the subject of light and modularity and incorporates ewo technology. The outcome of the artist in residence program and the installation will be presented at the ewo company headquarters in Kurtatsch.

With ewoLAB, the company has developed a format in which artists, designers, and architects can grapple with the subject of light from their own individual perspectives. This laboratory is not concerned with developing market-driven products. Rather, the main focus is on experimentation, that which is new, access viewed differently. Each project is occupied with a specific theme: the path and the end result are left open.
